We had the pleasure of heading over to Wales to help bring an end-of-year celebration to life. Our task was to take a hotel dining setting and transform it into a vibrant, festive atmosphere that perfectly reflected this year’s chosen theme of colour. By thoughtfully combining dynamic lighting effects and crystal-clear audio, we created an immersive festive environment for guests to enjoy.
The dining area was the heart of the event and required a lighting design that would engage guests from the moment they entered. We started by using subtle uplighting along the perimeter, casting warm washes of colour on the architectural elements of the room, we opted for multiple colour schemes from oranges and reds to purples and pinks to greens and yellows. To add a unique visual texture, we used gobo lighting to project leafy patterns across the tables and on the ceilings.
To achieve the best possible coverage without compromising the room’s overall aesthetic, we erected three discreet truss structures. By positioning our fixtures at a high vantage point, we minimised any visual distractions while still ensuring we had optimal reach of all the surfaces down the narrow seating areas. The resulting interplay of coloured light and organic pattern truly brought the colour theme to life, bathing the long rows of tables and glassware in a festive glow.
No atmosphere is complete without the right soundscape. Within our lighting rig, we integrated a series of strategically placed speakers to provide full-bodied audio throughout the length of the dining hall. Guests enjoyed a soundtrack of festive background music during their meal, and when it was time for speeches, our system delivered crisp, intelligible audio that carried evenly across the space. Our goal was to ensure every word and note reached each guest without overpowering conversation at the tables.
At the far end of the venue, we turned up the energy even further. Drawing guests into the party’s celebratory spirit, we designed a dance floor that was as much a visual center piece as it was an entertainment hub. We combined an array of moving lights, vivid colour washes, and a classic mirrorball to create an atmosphere of movement and sparkle. We also provided the audio production for a three-piece band.
