Chance to Dance is always one of our favourite shows to be part of and this year was no exception.
Held at the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth, this fast-paced one-day production sees dozens of dancers from local schools take to the stage for a night packed with energy, passion, and creativity. We’ve had the pleasure of supporting this event for many years now, and it’s always a highlight in the calendar.
This year, we stepped things up once again.
In addition to video, which we’ve been incorporating into the show over the past few years we completely redesigned the lighting setup, introducing a new array of fixtures to elevate the overall look and feel of the stage. The result was a dynamic, theatrical lighting design full of movement, texture, and impact, tailored to every routine.
We provided full lighting, audio, and special effects for the event, including cold spark pyros and confetti to create those unforgettable moments the dancers work so hard for.
It’s a fast turnaround. Load in, setup, full rehearsal, performance, and load out all in a single day but it’s one of those events that proves what an incredible team effort can achieve under pressure.
As always, a huge thank you to the Chance to Dance team for being a pleasure to work with, the Pavilion Theatre for hosting us once again, and most of all to the amazing dance schools who bring their energy and talent to the stage every single year. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
