We had the pleasure of illuminating a truly memorable wedding at Lulworth Castle. Known for its vast, historical interiors and grand high ceilings. Working alongside the talented Melissa Rose Design, we crafted a lighting experience that transformed the castle’s magnificent spaces, adding intimacy and warmth.
In the dining room, our lighting setup created a captivating overhead focal point and added special touches to highlight the tables. Together with Melissa, we designed two impressive festoon chandeliers. These hoops, decorated with lush foliage, formed a halo creating a stunning visual effect. With varied bulb heights—some delicately tucked within the greenery and others hanging lower—the chandeliers brought the ceiling down visually, adding a cozy, intimate feel to the room.
To showcase the elegant table centre pieces that Melissa arranged, we provided pinspot lighting. Each centre piece glowed beautifully under focused lights, and as daylight faded, the room transformed. The space came alive with a warm, inviting ambiance, as leafy patterns cast by gobo lighting played across the tables and chairs, adding layers of depth to the decor.
The evening continued with a full lighting, audio, and DJ booth setup on the dance floor. The lighting rig incorporated multiple truss structures adorned with various fixtures, including movers and washes that created dynamic light patterns throughout the room. For a touch of glamour, we positioned a mirrorball behind the DJ booth, casting brilliant reflections and adding a magical shimmer to the dance floor. The uplighting around the room completed design, enveloping guests in an immersive and celebratory atmosphere.
Our team also provided the audio setup, ensuring the DJ’s music filled the space perfectly, creating the ideal soundscape for a night of celebration. As the guests danced the night away, the castle’s grand architecture combined with our lighting design to create an unforgettable, dreamlike atmosphere.
